Abstract

(3a-c), was achieved. Pyrolysis of the bromide salt 3a gave 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydro-l- phenylbenzo [h] phosphinoline (14). The corresponding phosphine oxide 15 was isolated as a result of partial oxidation of 14 in air. Partial resolution of 3a was attained via silver hydrogen D (-)-and L (+)-dibenzoyltartrates.
