Abstract: The syntheses of dibenzo [2.21 paracyclophane (5), benzonaphtho [2.21 paracyclophane (6), benzofurano [c][2.21-paracyclophane (7) and 1, 2, 3- selenadiazolobenzo [2.2] paracyclophane (28) are presented. The existence of the strained cyclophyne 10 as an intermediate was established by a trapping method.
