Abstract
Acitretin analogs, incorporating changes in the lipophilic part, were efficiently synthesized from commercially available aromatic aldehydes or methyl ketones using the Wittig or Horner–Wadsworth–Emmons reaction. Their antiproliferative activity was evaluated against human breast MCF-7 epithelial cells.
