Abstract

Abstract Monodeoxycalix [4] arene (3) has been synthesized by a stepwise condensation method. It forms dimer in solution, the structure of which has an arrangement of the two cone of 3 facing the respective narrower rim with each other. A cyclic hydrogen bonding array of
