Abstract

Because of the high degree of cancer producing activity of 10-methyl-,'5, 1O-dimethyl-,'and 5, 9-dimethyl-l, 2-ben~ anthracene,~ it seemed of interest to synthesize 9, 10-dimethyl-l, 2- benzan-thracene.
