Abstract

Isothiocyanates reacted with 2-1uercaptoetli)-Irtnline hydrochloride to give S-substituted products, the hydrochlorides of S-2-aniinoethyl?;-alkyIdithioc. arbalnstes. With free 2- niercaptoethylaminej one mole of phenyl isothiocyanate gave the N-substituted product, l-(2- niercaptoethyl)-3-phenyl-2-thinureaj and two moles gave the S, S-disuhstituted product.
