Abstract
Wyrenyldlaromethane (PDAM), a new fluorescent labeling reagent, was developed for llquld chromatographic determlnation of carboxylic acld. PDAM was more stable than the other previous dlaroalkane type reagents. The reagent readily reacted with carboxylic aclds to give stable and strongly fluorescent 1-pyrenylmethyi ester derlvatlves without a catalyst and heating.
