Abstract
A series of investigations is in progress in this Laboratory to determine how variations in solvent polarity alter the mechanism of electrophilic aromatic bromination. Previous reports have described kinetic studies of the reaction of bromine and mesitylene in carbon tetrachloride'and in pure acetic acid. 2
