Abstract

Abstract In this article, we report the preparation of unprecedented π-conjugated macrocycles (Fig. 1) by acetylenic scaffolding using modular tetraethynylethene (TEE, 3, 4- diethynylhex-3-ene-1, 5-diyne) building blocks.
