Abstract

Similarly, use of 3-iodopropene and 3-bromopropyne as alkylating agents provided the tetrasubstituted alkenes 32 (60%) and 33 (40%), respectively. In the experiment involving the use of 3-bromopropyne, product 33 was accompanied by a significant amount of a mixture of the products 27 and 29, resulting from protonation of the intermediate.
