Abstract

Recent studies in our laboratory have focused on the catalytic enantioselective addition of allylboron reagents to unsaturated carbonyls.(7) These reactions are postulated to proceed by oxidative addition of Pd(0) or Ni(0) to a Lewis acid-activated enone (1 to 2, Scheme 1) followed by transmetalation (2 to 3) and reductive elimination.
