Abstract
1 INTRODUCTION Despite the medical achievements in the treatment of chronic alcoholism, the assortment of medicines for its correction is limited [1, 2]. 2 Therefore, the search for the compounds affecting the ethanol biotransformation remains topical. In this work, 1-hydroxyalkyl-3-substituted ureas and thioureas, which contain a primary hydroxyl group and structurally resemble the drug disulfiram (teturamin) [2, 3], became the subjects under study.
