Abstract
Abstract Catalytic oxidation of secondary aromatic amines using Co (salen)/O 2 in ethanol at 60 C leads to dehydrogenation of the amines affording the corresponding imines in high yield. A mechanism involving electron transfer from the substrate to cobalt (III) species is suggested.
