Abstract
Alkyl anilines are valuable intermediates broadly used in the chemical industry for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, dyestuffs, synthetic rubbers, herbicides, insecticides and agrochemicals.[1] Traditional routes for their preparation require N-alkylation of anilines with alkyl halides [2] in the presence of a base, palladium/copper-catalysed amination [3] of aryl halides or the more popular reductive amination of carbonyl compounds.[4] Few of these ...
