Abstract

3-[2-(Np-Toluenesulfonyl) aminophenylthio] prop-1-yne, reacted with aryl iodides in the presence of Et3N in THF solution with (PPh3) 2PdCl2 (3mol%) and CuI (40mol%) at room temperature for 8h followed by reflux for 20h to yield diaryl sulfides by a depropargylation and S-arylation reaction.
