Abstract

Suitable tertiary amines react with CS2, 100° C, 104 atm to give N, N-disubstituted thioformamides. Salts of dialkyldithiocarbamic acids decompose at the same conditions into dialkylthioformamide and sulphur. After addition of cyclohexene, mainly N, N- dialkyldithiocarbamic acid cyclohexyl ester has been obtained. Carbon disulfide and sulphur add to olefins yielding trithiocarbonates.
