Abstract

A novel method for the preparation of heterogeneous metallocene catalysts is described that can be applied for the polymerization of olefins starting with homogeneous metallocene complexes. For this purpose zirconocene dichloride complexes have been prepared containing alkenyl or alkynyl substituents.
