Abstract
cis-Preference of N-methyl aromatic ureas in combination with regulation of the C- substituent on an o-carborane cage is applicable to construct structurally unique macromolecules. Aromatic ureas with multilayer structure (5–12) and an aromatic urea containing an intramolecular nido-carborane–cobalt complex (13) were synthesized and their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography.
