Abstrazt: Synthetic sequences utilizing a-oxoketene dithioacetal and enolate chemistry have been developed for the preparation of new functionalized bipyridines, terpyridines, quaterpyridines, quinquepyridines, sexipyridines, septipyridines, octipyridines, novipyridines, and decipyridines.
