Abstract

A new series of spiromacrocycles were prepared by nucleophilic displacement of bromide from bis (6'-bromo-2'-pyridyl)-l, 3-dioxolane; nucleophiles employed included the dianions of HO (CH2CH20), H, n= 1-6, HS (CH2CH2S), H, n= 1, 2, and (HSCH2CH2) 20.
