Abstract
After 20 min, an addnl 1. O ml of the 0.26 M methyl chloroformate soh was added, and the mixt was stirred 40 mh longer. The red ppt was collected, washed with water, triturated with ether, and dried in vacuo to yield 0.72 g (69%), mp 149-154”,[a]” D+ 251”(c 0.1, CHClJ, R f 0.7 (60: 10: 1), nm 6 3.54 s (NCOOMe).
