Abstract

Abstract Reaction between carbethoxycyclopropyltriphenylphosphonium tetrafluoborate (1a) and sodium succinimide affords the adduct (2a) which was converted in two additional steps into±isoretronecanol; some other condensations between (1a) and imide salts are described.
