Abstract
The Halide-Induced Ligand Rearrangement (HILR) reaction results in the quantitative yield of heteroligated complexes. Several key intermediates have been identified via 31P {1H} NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. In addition, the roles of the hemilabile ligands, halide, and metal precursors have been studied.
