Abstract
A series of N-aryl ortho-substituted glycines and alanines, which serve as useful intermediates for the synthesis of N'-aryl-substituted Imldazoildlne-2, 4-dlones and their 2- tMoxo analogues, have been prepared and characterlzed by their infrared and carbon-I3 and proton NMR spectra.
