Abstract

The present work was undertaken to throw further light on the mechanism of the polymeriza- tion of olefins by acid catalyst^.'^^ Brunner and Farmer in 19374 published their results on the action of boron trifluoride on tetra- methylethylene to form 2,2,3,5,6-penta- methyl-3-heptene and a trimethylheptyl- ...
