Abstract
In a previous paper, the physiological activity4 of the phenyl ether of choline has been described. The marked stimulating action of this substance on the respiration, and its effect upon the blood pressure, suggested to Hunt that it might have an antidotal action to narcotic poisons, particularly if the molecule could be so altered as to bring about an augmentation of certain effects.
