Abstract
The reactions of lithium N, N-bis (trimethylsilyl) aminomethyl acetylide with electrophilic reagents offered a short preparation of substituted and functional propargyl amines. These are shown to be useful precursors of various unsaturated protected primary amines. Addition reactions to the carbon carbon triple bond or isomerisation reactions gave rise to allylic, dienic and α-allenic amines.
