Abstract

Despite the synthetic utility of SN allylic rearrangement (a general structural transformation: N= CSCC 4-S= CNCC= C) this rearrangement is one of the least studied polyhetero-Claisen rearrangement,'perhaps because the higher temperatures required can lead to side reactions (eg, double-bond migration of allylic moiety to vinyl sulfides, deallylation, etc.).
