Abstract

Abstract The reaction of N-or O-lithium salts of 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydro-1, 10-phenanthroline and 8-hydroxyquinoline with chloromethylsilanes Me n SiCl 4-n (n= 0, 1, 2, 3) leads to substitution of chlorine at the silicon atom by the nitrogen-or oxygen-bonded amine. In the case of tetrahydrophenanthroline (C 12 H 12 N 2) the compounds (C 12 H 11 N 2) SiMe n Cl 3-n (n= 0, 1, 2, 3) were isolated. Depending on the number of chlorine atoms in the silane ...
