Abstract

A number of new fluorine-containing cyclobutylsilanes have been prepared from fluoroolefins and alkenysilanes under conditions which generally favor cyclic codimer reactions rather than linear telomerization. All reactions were carried out in Pyrex combustion tubes at about 200" with hydroquinone and/or Terpene-B as free-radical inhibitors.
