Abstract
H NO, 0, N. C, H,. C--C. kOOC2H5, ONO, H were obtained by the action of nitric acild on the ethyl esters of para-and mefa-nitrocinnamic acids. This mvcstigation has now been extended and it has been shown, that the methyl esters of the nitrociniiamic acids afford similar products on nitration. Only a few examples of such nifronifrafes 2, are to be found in the literature compared with the closely related compounds, the nitroso-
