Abstract

Conclusion A suitable synthetic route to the 3-ethenylpyrroles has been developed, starting from readily available 3-acetyl-1-tosylpyrroles. The expected p-toluenesulfonic acid is the main byproduct of the reaction sequence, which employs inexpensive reagents and provides pure products after a simple purification process.
