Abstract

Treatment of alkoxymagnesium bromides, prepared in situ from alcohols and Grignard reagent, with N-chlorosuccinimide, m-chloroperbenzoic acid, or (diacetoxyiodo) benzene in the presence of t-butoxymagnesium bromide afforded the corresponding carbonyl compounds in good yields.
