Abstract

Abstract A new and convenient protocol for the transformation of aldehydes into nitriles using hydroxylamine hydrochloride by iron III chloride is presented. The protocol offers a very simple, cost efficient, and environmentally benign procedure with good to excellent yield of nitrile.
