Abstract
Although considerable effort has been expended in a study of the action of heat3 and water4 on the ordinary iniido ester salts, relatively little work has been conducted on the corresponding thioimido ester salt^.^^*^ The present paper constitutes an extension of the work on ordinary imido ester salts to the sulfur analogs in order to ascertain the comparative effects of oxygen and sulfur.
