Abstract

The alkyl and aryl esters of phosphoric acid have found extensive application as solvents, and as plasticizers for various polymeric substances. They are most effective for those polymeric materials which contain active acceptor atoms, such as the polyamides, the phenol-formaldehyde resins, the urea-formaldehyde resins, and the vinyl polymers.
