Abstract

Conclusions In the experiments described here, several fundamental aspects of large molecule energy transfer have been investigated. Laser excitation was used to prepare ensembles of excited azulene molecules. Infrared fluorescence techniques were used to monitor the average energy of the ensemble as it was deactivated by collisions.
