Abstract

Results and Discussion The (chlorodimesityls~ y1) lyl) diarYlgermanes can readily be prepared by the treatment of dichlorodimeaitylsilaue6 with 1 equiv of the appropriate diarylgermyllithium reagent in tetrahydrofuran (THF) in good to excellent yield.(Bis-(2, 4, 6- triisopropylphenyl) germyl) lithium is prepared in the same manner as the known (dimesitylgermy1) lithiithium: B by treatment of the diarylgermane with tert-butyllithium
