Abstract

Reactions of the isomeric trichlorobenzenes and tetrachlorobenzenes and of pentachloro- and hexachlorobenzene with an excess of the sodium salt of the isopropanethiol, in HMF'A, afforded the products of complete displacement of all the chlorine atoms present in the molecule.
