Abstract

Summary: New monofluorinated synthons have been prepared. The use of a-fluoro-a-nitro carboxylic esters as versatile building blocks was demonstrated by their conversion to various monofluorinated compounds via fluoromethyl anion and fluoromethylene dianion equivalents.
