Abstract

Intramolecular interactions between functional groups in a molecule frequently will lead to reactions which take place with difficulty, if at all, when the interactions are of an intermolecular nature. We wish to report some new reactions of y-and 6-dialkylamino acids with carboxylic acid anhydrides due presumably to intramolecular interactions of the carboxyl and tertiary amine groups.
