Abstract

N-(2-chloroallyl) ethylamine (Ha, R= C2H6) with potassium amide in liquid ammonia was K- ethylpropargylamine (IVa, R= CZH5). In order to determine if the course of the reaction of an N-(2-haloallyl) alkylamine with amide in liquid ammonia was influenced by the alkyl metal~ ation,~ we examined the reactions of the h'-(2-haloallyl) ethylamines w-ith the common alkali metal amides in liquid ammonia.
