Abstract
Abstract Perfluoro-2-methyl-2-pentylcarbanion, generated from perfluoro-4-methyl-2- pentene in an aprotic solvent, reacted with halides RX, where R= alkyl or allyl and X= I, Br, or Cl, to give fluorohydrocarbons of the general formula CF 3 CF 2 CF 2 C (CF 3) 2 R.
