Abstract
The reaction of 0-azidostyrene with trifluoro-, trichloro-, dichloro-, or monochloro-acetic acid gave 2-halogenomethyl-5-phenyloxazole via attack of halogenoacetate anion on a benzylic carbocation or a conjugate acid of the azide. ...
