Abstract Amphiphilic pyridinium ketoximes 4-[1-(hydroxyimino) alkyl]-1-methylpyridinium bromides (1) and 1-alkyl-4-[1-(hydroxyimino) ethyl] pyridinium bromides (2) are isomeric cationic surfactants bearing the nucleophilic hydroxyimino group.
