Abstract

This research was undertaken with the idea of utilizing the reaction of a-naphthoquinone with dienes as a means of synthesizing compounds sharing with vitamins K1 and Kz the structural feature of a 1, 4-naphthoquinone nucleus with alkyl substituents at the 2 and 3 positions.
