Abstract

The reaction of N-acyliminium ions with several activated pyridines resulted in an intramolecular cyclization to provide novel heterocycles. The reaction exhibited a regiochemical preference for cyclization para to the electron donating substituent.© 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
