Abstract

Abstract The ESR spectrum of the radical anion of di-t-butylsilanone t Bu 2 Si O·−, can be observed when t-butoxyl radicals react with di-tert-butylsilanol under basic conditions. The magnitude of the hyperfine coupling to 29 Si shows that the radical anion is pyramidal at silicon.
