Abstract

The condensation of p-ketonic esters with amino- RCOCH2COOCzHs+ HzNXSOzF- benzenesulfonyl fluorides and the subsequent alkaline hydrolysis of the resulting N- (acylacetyl) aminobensenesulfonyl fluorides have been described in a previous paper.'This method, which is illustrated by the following reaction, proved to be a generally useful synthetic way to N-(acylacety1) aminoarylsulfonates (X= aryl).
