Abstract

lane)(I), was prepared by the interaction of 2, 2'-dilithiobiphenyl with one equivalent of diphenyldichlorosilane. One of the chlorine atoms appeared to be displaced quite easily by adding the diphenyldichlorosilane to the refluxing ethereal solution of the organolithium compound.
